• The first step of hat care is the hat brush. Using a hat brush frequently is the easiest defense against dust, lint, dirt and light scuffs. Using the proper soft bristle brush is essential. Brush in short, consistent strokes in the same direction, starting at the front, working your way towards the back. Lint rolling can always be a complementary practice following your hat brush.

• A hat sponge or hat cloth can be your solution to a more stubborn stain. Use small circular motions and avoid rubbing the stain as not to damage the felt or deepen the stain. Your choice of sponge will depend on if you are cleaning a dark or light felt hat. You will want to follow any sponge or spot cleaning with your hat brush process to smooth the felt.

• Stubborn stain? It’s time to try something a little stronger and reach for the cornstarch. Sprinkle a small amount of cornstarch on the spot (for grease, you will want to do this as soon as possible). You will want to dab the spot then rest the hat crown down to rest for a few minutes. Follow with your hat sponge, and as always, end with your hat brush. This process may need to be repeated.

• When it comes to your hat band, you can also utilize your cornstarch and a damp cloth, as it will help absorb any dirt, sweat or makeup buildup. The band absorbs moisture, so you will want to clean it when you have time to let it air-dry.

Hats purchased online: All unworn, eligible, unused hats you would like to return for a full refund must be sent back to the Kendra Scott distribution center within 30 days of receipt of product in their original, unused condition with tags attached. Hats purchased at a participating Hats retail location or hats.com must refer to their store policy, and all returns and exchanges must be made through the store of purchase.

We ask for 3-5 business days for processing on all orders placed with standard shipping. Order placed on Saturday and Sunday, or after 12pm CST will begin processing the following business day. Orders placed before 12pm CST with expedited shipping will ship same day. Orders placed after 12pm or on the weekend will ship the following business day.
