Supply Chain Transparency Disclosure

Here at Kendra Scott, our purpose is to create good in the world. This aligns with our position on human rights in the supply chain. We prioritize ethical practices, fair labor conditions, and the well-being of workers at every stage of production. We strive to make a positive impact by focusing on responsible sourcing, transparency, and respect for fundamental rights in the creation of our jewelry. Accordingly, this statement is intended to reflect our efforts to achieve compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, including the California Transparency in Supply Chains Act of 2010 (SB 657).

We aim to create a positive impact by working with partners who share our values of responsible sourcing, transparency, and respect for fundamental rights.

We honor this commitment through a number of verification, audit, certification and training efforts, including the following:

• Responsible Jewelry Council Certification: We prioritize working with suppliers independently certified by recognized standards-setting organizations such as the Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC). RJC is an international not-for-profit whose mission is to advance responsible ethical, social and environmental practices with respect to human rights through the jewelry supply chain.

• Vendor Agreements and Code of Conduct: As a part of Kendra Scott’s commitment to legal compliance and ethical business practices, we require all vendors we do business with to follow our Vendor Compliance Manual and Vendor Code of Conduct, which set forth key principles and requirements, including a commitment to humane working conditions, anti-corruption and anti-bribery requirements, and labor practices that do not involve forced labor, child labor or human trafficking. We likewise require our vendors to comply with internationally recognized and applicable laws and regulations, including those mandated by the countries in which the merchandise or product is manufactured, includingbut not limited to, laws against child labor, forced labor and unsafe working conditions. Additionally, we require that all of our diamonds are sourced in compliance with the Kimberly Process.

• Annual Third Party Social Compliance Audits: Kendra Scott requires our vendors to participate in our vendor compliance program, which includes, disclosure of all factories used to produce Kendra Scott products, and either submission of a third party audit report on that facility conducted by an accredited auditing organization to a recognized audit standard, or participation in an audit inspection through an independent third party auditing firm. Auditors are required to have appropriate training and credentials to ensure that generally accepted auditing standards are met. Audits are completed on at least an annual basis unless determined that more frequent intervals are appropriate.

• Training and Internal Code of Conduct: We likewise hold our own employees accountable for the company’s compliance efforts. We provide training to employees with direct responsibility for supply chain management regarding issues of human trafficking and slavery.  We also maintain an internal Code of Conduct, which not only requires that all Kendra Scott employees respect and obey the law, but which reflects our ongoing commitment to health and safety, fair labor standards and ethical business practices.

• Remediation: In the event of a violation of our Vendor Compliance Program or our internal Code of Conduct, Kendra Scott will take appropriate remedial action based on the circumstances, including, but not limited to, promptly addressing the issue with the supplier or employee, conducting follow-up audits to confirm that the supplier has addressed and remedied any identified violations, and/or terminating our business relationship with the supplier.
